VENUE IS AT 2/192 PIRIE ST ADELAIDE, NOT 12 PIRIE ST AS FACEBOOK MAY SHOW
REGISTRATION REQUIRED: https://shorturl.at/nrNV7
Our unions hold the potential to bring serious collective power to the movement for a Free Palestine. Already unionists in other states have organised powerful blockades of the Israeli Zim shipping line in solidarity with Gaza.
This meeting has been initiated by signatories to a statement signed by over 3000 Australian unionists calling for an end to Israel’s brutal war, along with an end to Israel’s occupation and practices of apartheid and ethnic cleansing.
We want to ensure we are better organised here in South Australia, to push our unions to take stronger positions calling for action against the war and to see large contingents of unionists on solidarity demonstrations.
Palestinian trade unions are calling for international solidarity, including direct action against Israel’s war machine. Zim is just one of the Israeli companies operating in Australia that could be targets for action in solidarity with the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.
